Economics and Public Procurement
The Economics and Public Procurement programme (38.04.01) trains specialists to manage one of the most important economic instruments that allows the state to effectively spend budget funds, develop competition and meet the needs of the population and state-owned enterprises. Graduates gain in-demand skills in planning, conducting and controlling procurement activities, which opens up broad career opportunities in the public sector and business.

The programme is designed for 2 years of full-time studies in English. The location of the campus is Rostov-on-Don.

Southern Federal University and Roseltorg are joining forces to develop education and science.
February 4, 2026
Southern Federal University and the Roseltorg electronic trading platform have signed a cooperation agreement.
The partnership aims to develop the parties' human resources, scientific, educational, and innovative potential. The parties plan to jointly conduct scientific research, educational events, practical training, and internships.Roseltorg will also partner with the new master's program "Economics and Public Procurement." The program will be implemented at SFedU Faculty of Economics in September 2026. The master's program was developed as part of the "30-30" project of the "Priority 2030" strategic academic leadership program.
The signing of the document opens a new chapter in the collaboration between one of the country's leading universities and the largest federal operator of electronic trading.
Pavel Makhno, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Information Technology at SFedU:

Rankings
The SFedU operates a point-ranking system for assessing students' knowledge during the ongoing control and interim assessment of students’ progress. Students can see their scores in their personal account. The ranking of students by points is taken into account when switching to a non-fee form of training.
Practical training
During their studies, students take a practical training in the form of a research project, an internship at a partner company, and a pre-diploma training, aimed at preparing their Master thesis.
State final attestation
The state final attestation is a public defense of the Master thesis before the commission. The commission includes teachers and representatives of business structures and other universities.
